Tae Yoo

Tae Seok Clement Yoo (Tae Yoo) serves as Managing Director in the Global Client Development Department. His department is responsible for covering new and existing business and product development initiatives of investors across sell-side exchange participants, buy-side investors, custody banks and OTC clear.

Yoo has over 30 years of industry experience with 14 years at CME Group in Chicago and Asia. Since joining HKEX in 2011, he has been responsible for Platform Development & Strategy, Client Business Development and FIC Development. He was a key member of stock and swap connect development, bond connect launch, OTC Clear launch, BRICS exchanges alliance and London Metal Exchange (LME) acquisition. He worked at Sumitomo Mitsui Bank and Goldman Sachs & Co in Chicago before joining CME Group.

Yoo has been named an inventor on nine U.S. patents on derivatives risk management applications.
