Kenny Lam

Kenny is the CEO of Two Sigma Asia-Pacific, managing and overseeing the region for Two Sigma, one of the world’s largest hedge funds with almost USD 70 billion in assets. Two Sigma is known for its expertise in quantitative investment management.

Before Two Sigma, Kenny was a global Partner at McKinsey & Company, co-leader of McKinsey’s Financial Services Practice in Asia. He was the lead Partner for the creation of the Private Management Wealth Association in Hong Kong with the Hong Kong Banking Association. After McKinsey, he served as the Group President of Noah Holdings Limited, China’s first NYSE-listed and largest independent wealth and asset management with over 90 billion in assets under advisory.

Kenny holds several prominent public roles in the business community. He is the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Wharton School in Asia and Co-Chairman of the Asia Pacific Leadership Council of The Nature Conservancy. He also serves on the University of Waterloo President’s Global Advisory Board and is a Special Advisor to Our Hong Kong Foundation, a leading think-tank.

Kenny is an elected board member of two major companies in Asia: The Bank of East Asia (China), one of the largest foreign banks in China, serving as its risk committee chairman, and Smartone Telecommunications in Hong Kong (HKSE: 315).

Kenny graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Scholar and Benjamin Franklin Scholar. He also read Law at the University of Oxford.

Kenny is a best-selling author in China. His book “Choices 選擇” published by CITIC Publishing, one of China’s largest publishers, reached No. 4 in e-book sales in China in 2023.
