Josh Hochberg
Chief Operating Officer
Josh draws on his background in finance, capital markets and public policy to help asset managers, private equity firms and other financial institutions navigate today’s rapidly changing business environment. He designs and leads integrated communications strategies that tackle the sector’s most pressing challenges, from reputational and regulatory issues to complex stakeholder demands.
He has deep expertise working with private equity funds, asset managers and their portfolio companies on reputational positioning, restructurings, recapitalizations and transaction-related communications.
Josh also counsels C-suite executives and boards of directors on sensitive issues including shareholder activism, governance matters, IPOs, M&A (friendly and contested), spin-offs and other corporate transformations. His ability to simplify complex issues into compelling messaging has helped financial services organizations and their portfolio companies navigate high-stakes transactions, major announcements and periods of significant change.
Josh is recognized for his ability to prepare senior leaders for high-profile engagements - from earnings calls and investor days to pivotal media interviews and industry conferences. He has trained and advised CEOs and executives at leading Fortune 500 companies, asset managers and private equity-backed businesses to deliver clear, credible narratives that resonate with investors and broader audiences.
Josh joined Edelman after more than 13 years at Sloane & Company, where he was a Managing Director and head of the capital markets and investor relations practice. Prior to Sloane, he was a founding partner of Vistance Group, a boutique corporate communications firm, and a senior member of Fleishman Hillard’s corporate communications practice.
He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, is actively involved in philanthropic organizations, and frequently speaks on shareholder activism, governance, media strategy and stakeholder engagement.
