Jan Boomaars

Jan is the Chief Executive Officer of Optiver and Chair of the Management Board.

He joined Optiver in October 2015 to lead the European business, before assuming the role of CEO in January 2018. Under his leadership, Optiver has consolidated its position as a leading global market maker, providing liquidity, competitive pricing and robust risk management across asset classes.

Before joining Optiver, Jan was a Partner at Goldman Sachs within the Securities Division, where he spent 21 years working across various areas, including the Derivatives, Execution, and Clearing businesses.

Jan holds a degree from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
