Frank Monkam

Frank Monkam is a Macro Markets Strategist at Bloomberg, where he provides cross-asset analysis and market strategy across global rates, commodities, equities and currencies to Bloomberg Terminal clients and Bloomberg Television audiences. His analysis focuses on the intersection of macroeconomic signals, market structure and cross-asset dynamics.

Prior to Bloomberg, Frank held senior trading and investment roles at Gunvor, Vitol and PIMCO across the US, UK and Switzerland, spanning global macro, fixed income and commodities.

Frank holds an M.S. in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago, where he is also an Adjunct Lecturer. He also earned undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Finance from North Carolina A&T State University, where he was an NCAA Division I basketball scholarship athlete.
