Daniel Wang Haoyu

Daniel Wang Haoyu, CEO of Merit Asset Management, specialising in global asset allocation and disruptive technology investments for renowned families and patient capital principals. Merit is headquartered in Hong Kong operating in multiple locations, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Singapore and San Francisco.

He has held key roles including macroeconomist, senior asset allocation manager and senior portfolio manager at the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), one of the largest sorvereign wealth funds in the world, where he directly managed assets worth hundreds of billions of dollars. He has also served as a mutual fund manager and CIO at Rongtong Global Fund Management Company, and as Managing Director and CEO at Peakvest Asset Management in Hong Kong, overseeing primary and secondary equity investments.

Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Renmin University of China, and dual Master's degrees in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Science from Université Paris-Dauphine and City University of Hong Kong.
