Chris has spent most of his career thus far at Lloyds Banking Group, one of Britain’s largest banks. He started as an Analyst in Market Risk for their global Sales and Trading book, serving corporate clients, hedge funds and other large institutions. Then moved to the Insurance, Pensions and Investments division, focusing on retirement products for over 10 million customers with £232bn assets under administration. Initially as an Assistant Manager in their Annuities business, he then became a Manager in the Investment Office covering mostly DC Pensions. In this role he focused on Multi Asset Funds and Alternatives, meeting and reviewing in depth over 250 external portfolio managers, including some of the largest and best risk takers in the world.
He is both a CFA and CAIA Charterholder as well as a member of the CISI. He writes a financial markets blog in his free time, which has received over 140,000 views and he’s been featured in Citywire, Trustnet and Reuters.
